i was so excited when i came home this afternoon and saw a package on my porch from my DRU (DishclothsRUS) unofficial swap partner! she sent two awesome dishcloths in my favorite color, a wonderfully soft and cuddly mobius scarf in a pretty purply color, and a CD of one the Pat Metheny Group, one of her favorite groups. but wait, there's more! she knew that i collect knitting needles and elephants...so she commissioned a friend of hers to make the cutest elephants to top a pair of bamboo needles....AND a stitch marker to match! you should see me, i'm listening to the CD, wearing the scarf (nevermind that i'm sitting here in a t-shirt and sweatpants!) and about to cast a cloth on to my favorite new knitting needles!
you posted a comment on yesterday's blog entry. i would love your help in adapting that motif to use on a washcloth/dishcloth...but i don't know who you are or how to reach you! feel free to email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
this pretty pattern is from a top and matching cardigan that my momma wore last week. i like it a lot and was wondering if someone could help me recreate it? i'm thinking it would look very nice in a cloth pattern!
i want to make my friend a pair of mittens for christmas. i need yarn that's classified as "chunky." i tried my every day, everything stores (wal-mart and meijer), but i plan to go to one of my LYS stores this week or weekend so i'll look for something there. got a lovely pattern and everything, all i need is yarn. -sigh- but if that's all i have to complain about then this will be a pretty good week.
