Mz knits .... and sews!

Ever since the beginning of the pandemic, I’ve had it in my mind that I wanted to sew some masks.  But in my downsizing to a smaller place a few years ago, I decided I couldn’t keep my sewing stash or supplies so had to get rid of absolutely everything.  Sewing machine, table, fabrics, tools, storage containers, dress form, EVERYTHING.  The house I live in is much smaller but I was still able to carve out a space that works well (enough) for sewing, at least for small things like masks.  I’ve spent a chunk of the summer re-learning how to sew (and collecting tools!) and I think I feel confident enough to let more of my creations out into the world.

Here is the batch that I am currently working on:

Once they’re finished, I will post them on my “masks” page.  I’m planning to offer them on a “donation” model.  I don’t want to sell them exactly, especially since I’m still learning.  But folks have wanted to pay something so I came up with this option where they can donate what they like.  I’m not in it to make money, but I want to do my small part in making sure masks are available for people who need or want them.

One day soon, maybe in the next post, I will show you around my “studio.”  Hmm ... should I make a video? Post in the comments and let me know!

Until next time (soon, I promise),
