HELP!! I NEED NORO!!!!

okay so i cast on for a scarf for a dear friend (see below), knowing i didn't have enough noro kureyon to finish, but who knew that these color numbers aren't easily found?

specifically, i'm looking for Noro Kureyon in color #70 and/or color #3. one of each will be fine, or two of either. i checked in one LYS with no luck, and will check the others this week. i also checked ebay and turned up NOTHING! please don't tell me there's no hope!

thanks in advance. betcha this is the last time i start something
knowing i don't have enough yarn on-hand to finish.... if you can help, please send email to mzundercover@gmail.com. my comments function on this blog doesn't seem to be working at the moment.

Clapotis #3 and other holiday knitting

i better face it; i'm gonna be a knitting fool for the next month. i just finished my momma's set of 6 dishcloths. i got a "ribbed for her pleasure" scarf on the needles for my SIL (from the first Stitch 'n Bitch book). and this beautiful clapotis is for a friend of mine. it's made from noro kureyon, which is so much fun to knit with. my only complaint is that stitches don't drop very well. but it's pretty so that makes up for it! the next problem is finding more of this yarn in similar colors to what i'm using now. i knew i'd run out of yarn but i couldn't resist casting on!

my 2 youngest brothers are getting iPods for christmas, so i am thinking about knitting up some iPod sleeves for them. or maybe just get them each a gift card for starbucks or even for iTunes so they can download some music. i dunno. the goal for me is to be as crafty as possible and to spend as little money as possible. this year, money's not just funny, it's telling JOKES.

other brother and nephew...not sure what their gifts will be. maybe i can whip up those fuzzy dice for my bro's cadillac, and a knitted toy for the nephew? we'll see how my hands hold up. now...what gifts for my bro, SIL and nieces in texas? decisions, decisions.

another FO

This 5-sided cloth was easy to crochet! i did it as if i was doing a granny square but instead of 4 sides, i made 5. i think it looks great! it's made with sugar n cream cotton in a lovely cream color, and i used a size H crochet hook. g'head and make one. you know you wanna.

... this has been a QuietStorm production, dahling ...
